01Overview

A whole elevation in glass

A curtain wall is a glass façade that hangs on a building’s structure rather than holding anything up. Aluminium framing runs across the floors and glass fills it, so a whole elevation becomes one continuous, light-filled surface — the look of most modern office and showroom fronts.

Because a curtain wall takes the full force of sun, wind and rain, the engineering is in the details: sections chosen to the span and wind load, safety glass, and sealing that keeps the monsoon out. On west-facing fronts in Ahmedabad, the right glass — reflective, tinted or double glazed — makes a real difference to the heat inside.

Curtain walls are planned building by building, usually with your architect. We measure on site, go through the section and glass options, and give you a written, itemised quote.

Questions about curtain wall glazing

Something else? Call or WhatsApp +91 84888 90170.

What’s the difference between a curtain wall and structural glazing?

In a typical curtain wall the aluminium framing shows on the outside, dividing the glass into panels. In structural glazing the glass is bonded to the frame with structural silicone, so from outside you see mostly glass. Many façades use a mix of both.

Will a glass façade make my building hot?

It can, if the glass is wrong. Reflective or tinted glass and double glazed units cut heat on sunny elevations — especially west faces — while still letting daylight in.

How is a curtain wall made safe against wind?

The framing sections are chosen to the span and wind load of the building, and safety glass is used throughout. That’s worked out for each building, not taken off the shelf.

Do you work with architects?

Yes. Builders, developers, architects and interior designers already bring us back, and we’re happy to work to your architect’s design.

How is a curtain wall cleaned?

Like any glazing, it needs regular cleaning. How that’s done depends on the building’s height and access, so it’s worth planning for at the design stage.

How much do curtain walls cost?

It depends on the area, the framing sections and the glass, so we don’t quote blind. After a free site visit you get a written, itemised quote — typically within 48 hours — showing what each part costs.
