01Overview
UPVC or aluminium? We’ll tell you straight
UPVC — unplasticised PVC — is a rigid frame material for windows and doors. People choose it for its insulating frames and snug, sealed closing, and it’s a common pick for bedrooms and living rooms where a quiet, draught-free room matters.
Aluminium and UPVC each have their place. Aluminium sections are stronger and slimmer, so they suit large openings, sliding-folding systems and slim sightlines, and they take any powder-coated shade. UPVC frames are chunkier but insulate well. Rather than push one material, we look at the opening, its size and your budget, and tell you which will actually work.
Whichever you choose, the process is the same: a free site visit, a written, itemised quote, careful fitting and service after the invoice.

Read the guide
UPVC or aluminium — which is better?
Neither is better everywhere. Aluminium is stronger and slimmer, takes any colour and suits large openings and sliding systems. UPVC insulates well and suits standard-sized windows in bedrooms and living rooms. We’ll look at your openings and tell you straight.
Does UPVC cope with Ahmedabad’s heat?
Good-quality UPVC is made with UV stabilisers for hot, sunny climates. For very large openings in full sun, aluminium’s strength and stability usually win — we’ll advise for your windows.
Is UPVC good for noise reduction?
The frames seal well, but most of the noise reduction comes from the glass. Double glazed units make the biggest difference on a main road.
What colours does UPVC come in?
UPVC is usually white, with some colour and wood-effect options depending on the system. If colour matters, aluminium can be powder-coated in any RAL shade.
How do I maintain UPVC windows?
Wipe the frames with soapy water and keep the tracks and drainage clear of dust. Call us if anything needs adjusting.
How much do UPVC windows and doors cost?
It depends on the size, the sections, the glass and the hardware, so we don’t quote blind. After a free site visit you get a written, itemised quote — typically within 48 hours — showing what each part costs.
